What to Expect
During your first appointment, your physiotherapist will introduce themselves and spend time getting to know you and your goals. Every appointment is a true one-on-one session where you are the only person the physiotherapist is treating during your entire scheduled time. Your appointment will begin by reviewing your history and discussing any past injuries, problem areas or areas that you want to focus on.
A mobility screen is done to test your muscular strength, range of motion and flexibility. The remainder of your appointment will include hands-on therapy, and treatments such as:
These treatments are based on your individual needs and goals. At the end of your appointment, your therapist will walk through a personalized care plan to keep you moving better, feeling better and performing better.
Personalized Care Plan
Your physical therapist will create a follow-up appointment schedule that is tailored to your unique wellness goals. We aren’t just treating pain, we want to keep you active and doing the things you love. Follow-up appointments are 45 minutes of one-on-one sessions with the same therapist you met during your initial screening or evaluation appointment.
Our goal during these sessions is to educate and empower you by giving you the tools to stay active and reduce the risk of injury. These appointments can include hands-on treatments, corrective and strengthening exercises, and educating you so that you can complete a home exercise program outside of your scheduled visits.

A Free 20-minute screening is a short trial of how your initial evaluation will go. It will involve:

How to Prepare
Arrival
You should plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Doing this helps you maximize every minute of your time slot. Let the front desk know you are there for your Renew Wellness appointment and they will direct you to our treatment rooms.
When you schedule your first visit, you will receive an email with a new patient form. Having this filled out prior to your arrival will help your Physical Therapist create a plan that suits you best.
What to Wear
To maximize your time, please come wearing loose fitting clothes. If you have a lower body area you would like to focus on, please wear shorts.
No Referral Necessary
Both North Carolina and South Carolina allow direct access to physical therapy services. This means you do not need a prescription from a doctor or healthcare professional to be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist.
Insurance
We encourage you to bring your insurance information to help decide what treatment plan will work best for you. We are in-network and accept ALL insurances. Visit our Insurance Page for more information on insurance and billing.
